依本會組賬條例及相關規定，本會（備註）設有綜合計畫處、全民運動處（備註）、競技運動處、國際體育處、運動設施處5個業務單位，及秘書室、人事室、會計室、身心障礙國民運動委員會、法規委員會、訴願審議委員會，政風業務由行政院統籌辦理，並由法規委員會派員協辦，另國家運動選手訓練中心為任務編組（如附圖）。 |

In accordance with its Organizational Statute and other relevant regulations, the Sports Affairs Council (Note) consists of five operating units (the Department of Planning, Department of Sports for All (Note), Department of Competitive Athletics, Department of International Sports, and Department of Sports Facilities), a Secretariat, Personnel Office, Accounting Office,Sports for the Disabled Committee, Legal Affairs Committee, and Petitions and Appeals Committee. Matters of government ethics are handled by the Executive Yuan, assisted by a staffer from the Legal Affairs Committee. (See accompanying chart.) |

The original English names for the National Council on Physical Fitness and Sports and the Department of Public Sports have been changed to the Sports Affairs Council and Department of Sports for All respectively. The name changes were approved by the Research, Development, and Evaluation Commission of the Executive Yuan on May 21, 2007. |

2. Budgeted number of personnel: The total number of budgeted staff for 2006 was 99, of which 89 were formal employees and 10 were contract workers; there were 5 janitors, 2 technicians, and 10 drivers. |

3. Distribution and background of current staff: In 2006 the SAC had a staff of 93, including 3 special appointees, 23 selected appointees, 50 recommended appointees, 9 designated appointees, and 8 contract employees. Of the total, 44 (47.31%) held master's degrees or above, 39 (41.94%) held bachelor's degrees, and 10 (10.75%) held junior college certificates or under; 46 (49.46%) were male and 47 (50.54%) were female. Their average age was 42.67 years with 79 (84.95%) passing qualifying examinations, and the remaining 14 (15.05%), including the 8 contract employees hired under other provisions. |

| |
1. As a government agency, the SAC has hired its contract employees in accordance with the relevant regulations for the employment of contract workers. The formal employees are hired and dismissed, evaluated, and compensated in accordance with civil service employment laws, performance evaluation laws, and compensation laws. |
| |
2. To increase the work-related know-how of employees, the SAC holds classes on a quarterly basis and runs seminars, based on the needs of employees, on an irregular basis. Experts and scholars are invited to give lectures in areas of professional know-how and to propagate information on relevant policies. Numerous cultural and recreational activities were also held during this year, including monthly parties to increase opportunities for social interaction, teams to participate in various kinds of sports competitions, and outdoor activities to boost camaraderie among staff members. All of these activities serve to stimulate working morale and enhance workplace efficiency. |
